For F45 Training Melton, we provided out-of-home campaign design support for a high-visibility member recruitment campaign, creating bold, brand-aligned large-format assets designed to capture attention and build local awareness.
F45 Training Melton needed a series of large-format out-of-home campaign assets to promote the local fitness club and encourage new members to join the community.
The campaign was installed at Woodgrove Shopping Centre in Melton, Victoria, giving the franchise a high-visibility presence in a busy local retail environment. Spacey Studios was engaged to design both an 8.3 metre billboard and a 2.5 × 4 metre hanging banner, creating bold campaign artwork that aligned with the F45 brand while supporting the goals of the local management team.

Large-format design needs to work quickly.
In a shopping centre environment, people may only glance at a billboard or hanging banner for a few seconds, so the message needed to be clear, bold, and easy to understand from a distance.
The designs also needed to follow the established F45 Training brand style, while still feeling relevant to the Melton franchise and its local audience. With large-scale print production, attention to detail was also critical. Imagery, typography, spacing, and artwork setup all needed to be carefully prepared to ensure the final assets printed clearly and professionally at scale.
Our design approach focused on impact, clarity, and brand consistency.
We used strong F45 brand colours, energetic training imagery, bold typography, and direct campaign messaging to create artwork that felt active, confident, and easy to read in a high-traffic environment.
For the billboard, the layout was designed to communicate quickly from a distance, combining key franchise information with a strong membership-focused call to action.
For the hanging banner, we adapted the campaign into a vertical format, making sure the hierarchy still worked clearly within the tall, narrow placement. This required careful consideration of scale, crop, visibility, and how the artwork would be viewed from different points within the shopping centre.
The final campaign assets gave F45 Training Melton a strong local presence within Woodgrove Shopping Centre.
The billboard and hanging banner worked together to promote the club, highlight membership offers, and support new member recruitment through bold, high-impact visual communication.
By combining clear messaging with brand-aligned design and print-ready artwork preparation, the campaign helped bring F45’s energetic fitness experience into a public retail environment where local audiences could engage with it directly.
This was a focused graphic design project, but one that required careful attention to scale and environment.
Designing for large-format print is very different to designing for digital or smaller collateral. Every element has to work from a distance, the message needs to land quickly, and the artwork needs to be technically prepared so it prints cleanly at size.
What we enjoyed about this project was seeing the work move into a real public environment. There is something rewarding about designing campaign assets that are installed at scale and seen by people in the local community.
For us, the F45 Training campaign is a strong example of how clear, brand-aligned design can support local area marketing — helping a franchise promote its offer, build visibility, and connect with potential members in a high-traffic setting.
Here are a few more projects that showcase how we approach branding, design, and digital with clarity and intention.
